Beta Club To Host LifeSouth Blood Drive
The Ardmore High School Beta Club members urge all eligible blood donors to donate blood Friday, Feburary 23, at the LifeSouth Blood Drive at the school. The LifeSouth Blood Mobile will be accepting donations from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.


Tiger Band To Host Preschool Pageant
In conjunction with the annual Ardmore High School Beauty Pageant, the Tiger Band will host a Preschool Pageant Saturday, March 31, beginning at 11 a.m. for girls ages 0-5 years.



Elkton Council Appoints New Alderman, Vice-Mayor
The Elkton City Council opened its monthly meeting with a word of prayer and approval of all minutes and expenditures.


Girl Scout Cookies Special Treats For Camp Victory
Qualis Corp. presently has 10 employees located at Camp Victory in Iraq. Local employees including Jim Keith of Ardmore and Cari King recently packed many cases of Girl Scout Cookies to be sent to Qualis employees at Camp Victory Iraq at the Joint Robotics Repair Facility for the robotic systems Joint Projects Office (RS JPO) at Redstone Arsenal.


B&G Club Benefits From Chess Exhibition
The Coffee Pod held the first chess benefit for the Ardmore Boys and Girls Club Saturday from 10 to 4. For a $5 donation, any one could try their chess strategy or skill against Ardmore Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Maalac Steele. 100% of every $5 donation went to the Boys and Girls Club of Ardmore.




Clem Joins 1000 Point Club
Matthew Clem of the varsity boy’s basketball team at Ardmore High School ended his senior year by joining the few elites in the 1000-point club.


Lady Tigers Fall At Lawrence County
The season ended for the Ardmore Lady Tigers last Thursday in Moulton when the Lawrence County Red Devils stopped the Lady Tigers 71-49.


Soccer Home Opener Thursday
The Ardmore varsity soccer teams, girls and boys, will open their home soccer season Tuesday, February 27, by entertaining New Hope. The boys contest will begin at 4:30 p.m. with girls game to follow. Other home tilts include Madison Academy, East Limestone, Athens Bible School, Westminster and West Limestone. The Tigers will face Giles County in a boys only match to close the season on April 19.


Tigers Open Season At East Tournament
The Ardmore High School varsity baseball team began play this week in the East Limestone Pre-Season Baseball Tournament. The tournament began at 10 a.m. Monday and will conclude on Wednesday, February 28.


Blanche School Athletes Honored At Banquet
The Blanche School Bulldog Athletic Department honored their athletes at a banquet on Thursday evening, February 8, in the Bulldog gym. Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Chris Jones, head football coach and teacher at Hazel Green High School.
