Elkmont is staying busy. February 13 the members of the Senior class took a trip to Calhoun. The same night there was a PTO meeting called Internet Safety Night. February 14 was club meeting day. Thursday the 15th FACS held a Chicken Cook Off.
Track try-outs began Monday the 12th. Baseball and softball teams have had try-outs and are practicing out in the cold weather.

April Die is the daughter of Deborah Plys and Robert Die. Her hobbies and interests are reading, hanging out with friends, talking on the phone, VICA, 4-H, and computers. Her future plans are to attend UAB and become a nurse. Her favorite memory at EHS was when Mr. Glass was turned into a sundae. Her advice to her lower classmen is “study hard and never give up, because once you’ve given up, you’ve failed.” She will miss hanging out with her friends in the morning.

Braden Dison is the son of Mark and Cindi Dison. His hobbies and interests are reading, archaeology, football, fishing, hunting, and music. His future plans are to attend Auburn and major in Anthropology. His favorite memory at EHS is his class with Mr. Thompson. His advice to his lower classmen is “enjoy today; you can worry about tomorrow when it comes.” He will miss all his friends at school.

Heather Duke is the daughter of Angela and Lantry Duke.
Her hobbies and interests are any sport, talking on the phone, and riding with friends. Her future plans are to attend Wallace State and become a dentist. Her advice to her lower classmen is “If you’re good, be better, if not try harder.” She will miss all her friends and funny teachers.
