Mary C. Harvey

Mary C. Harvey of Ardmore, TN, died Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at her residence.

Memorial services will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Hazel Green, AL, on Friday, February 23, at 2 p.m. At the request of the deceased, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the benevolence fund at Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Mary was born August 1, 1942. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a Special Needs Teaching Aid, an American Red Cross Volunteer, an employee of the American Red Cross, a volunteer at the Ardmore Public Library and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Dewey Jeffery Standridge; her parents, Alberta and Paul Harris; and eight siblings.

Survivors include her husband, Ross Harvey, one son, Lance Harvey of Ardmore, TN; two daughters, Susan Elliott of Birmingham, AL and Lisa Standridge and husband Dewey of Ardmore, AL; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and six brothers and sisters.

Dennis M. Hoover

Dennis M. Hoover, 66, of Harvest, AL, died Tuesday, February 13, 2007.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 16, at 2 p.m. at the chapel at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammy Brister and Dr. Eric Fuller officiating. Burial was in the Huntsville Memory Gardens with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.

Dennis M. Hoover was born October 31, 1940.

Survivors include his son, Dr. Christopher Hoover and wife Julie of Athens; sister, Melba Toon of Harvest; granddaughter, Alexandria Faith Hoover of Athens; niece, Karla Kochevar and husband Scott of Harvest; nephew, Lance Toon and wife Gina of Harvest; four great-nephews, Will and Grant Kochevar, Grayson and Rylan Toon; one great-niece, Macy Kate Toon; several aunts and numerous cousins.

Memorials may be made to the Harvest Baptist Church or New Sharon Senior Center.
