Ardmore, AL Mayor Gene Shannon called the council meeting to order on March 12.

Morrow Honored At Annual Boys & Girls Club Dinner
The eighth annual Boys & Girls Club Dinner was held Thursday evening, March 15, at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Ardmore. Tommy Starnes, president of the Ardmore Boys & Girls Club Board of Directors, welcomed the guests and introduced Master of Ceremonies Bro. Steve Hargrove, pastor of the Community Baptist Church.

Elkton City Meeting Held
Elkton, TN Mayor Bill Ware called the scheduled March meeting to order on March 8, and Brother Dennis Cleveland led the council in a word of prayer.

Rabies Clinics Scheduled
The Lincoln County Health Department will hold its annual rabies vaccination clinics on March 24 and March 31. The clinics are held in accordance with the 2005 rabies control laws. All dogs and cats age 6 months or older are required to be vaccinated.

Large Trash Pick Up Next Week
The Mayors and Councils of Ardmore, AL, and Ardmore, TN, are encouraging citizens and business owners to clean up around their residences and businesses.

Coach Walker Is Optimistic As His Tigers Take The County Title
Ardmore High School Head Baseball Coach Lee Walker was positive in his comments about his players’ performance after the Tigers notched a thrilling 4-3 win over Clements to capture the Limestone County Tournament Championship.

Lady Tigers Fare Well In Tournament
The Ardmore Lady Tigers advanced to the first round of the Gold Tournanment Saturday before being eliminated by Boyd Buchanan of Chattanooga. Ardmore faired well after having to adjust their lineup after senior shortstop Shannon Fogg suffered a leg injury.

AHS Soccer Teams Get Different Results
The Ardmore High School varsity boys soccer team won one and lost one last week while the Lady Tigers lost one and battled to a 0-0 deadlock.

Drum roll, please! It’s that time of year again folks, a time when every team in baseball feels like they have a shot at the pennant and a time when fans everywhere are gearing up for the first pitch on opening day.
